Q: Why do you need to expand your facility?
Because the demand for our services has exploded as scores of people have become unemployed and uninsured. Our current facility simply cannot accommodate our needs.

Most obvious is our lack of sufficient exam rooms to see patients. Unless they have an immediate need, patients often need to wait for an appointment several weeks away. With more space, we will serve more patients and serve them more quickly.

Q: How many patients do you see a day?
Open over 50 hours every week, Matthew 25 serves 100 patients a day on average—a number that’s always increasing. Over 1,000 patients rely on the clinic for diabetes support. And on "walk-in day" on Mondays, we open to long lines.

Q: How specifically will the funds benefit Matthew 25’s patients?
With campaign funds, we’ll be able to:

  • Double the number of medical exam rooms and dental operatories, seeing more patients and getting them in more quickly
  • Quadruple the size of the medication room for greater efficiency
  • Create a new, private counseling area for education
  • Seat nearly 100 patients in our waiting areas (compared to only 50 now)
  • Double the office space for clinical staff
  • Add 2 multipurpose classrooms for meetings
  • Access electronic medical records in every exam room, ensuring we have the most accurate, up-to-date patient records
  • Equip the dental operatories with state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment . . .and more!

Q: Will you also be expanding services with additional space?
Yes. We’ll expand our dental prophylaxis and oral health education—as well as programs in weight reduction and smoking cessation. And we plan to launch new specialty clinics in neurology, gastrointestinal disease, and optometry.

Q: How will my gift benefit our community?
By contributing to Matthew 25, you’ll give more people access to healthcare that they wouldn’t have outside of the emergency room.

Plus, you’ll improve their overall quality of life. For when people are healthy, they’re better workers, better parents, and better able to cope with whatever comes their way.

Q: How can I/we participate?
You can participate in a variety of ways. You can make cash or credit card gifts, or donate appreciated assets. Consider a memorial gift. Or donate new furniture or office equipment.
